The Homeportal GH is a property portal that has been established (September 2026) with the following ethos and objectives

Simplicity

One of the main objectives of Home Portal is to make property search as simple and stress free as possible.  The set up of the site and how it functions has taken this objective into consideration.

In the interest of clutter, no agent or private advertiser is allowed to post more than 100 properties at a time.

Security

In this age of technology and what is possible with it, security is one of the main objectives of the site.  Our registration procedure for all advertisers is stringent and this has been implemented all in the interest of reducing the number of fraudsters and scammers to zero if possible.

To register, all advertisers will need to do the following

  • Present a copy of their Ghana Card
  • Present a Momo/Telecel/AT number in a name that matches the Ghana Card.
  • Have a WhatsApp account in the name that matches the name on the Ghana Card
  • Where it’s a company registering, the company will have to present a Company Registration certificate with the name of its directors. This information will be verified at Register General’s Department.

Whilst this approach may frustrate advertisers, it is being carried out in the interest of minimizing fraud and scamming in an industry that is fraught with this.

Fairness

Whilst HomePortal GH understands the principle of agents charging a commission and agrees with it, all agents who subscribe to our site sign an undertaking not to charge a “moving fee” to show potential tenants and buyers a property advertised on our site.  Should an agent do so on a property advertised on our site, they will be struck off.

There are also no featured listings providing a level playing ground for all agents.

Innovativeness

In the midst of all the simplicity, HomePortal GH has been able to introduce the following real estate business tools to help all browsers. 

  • A comparable feature:

This feature has been set up to provide the real estate industry with actual rental and sale prices from industry participants like estate agents, lawyers and developers.  The difficult nature of gathering this information means it may take a while to have a huge database of such information.  Once established however, it will serve as a very important point of reference for many industry participants.

  • A Yield Information feature:

This feature provides investors with information on the likely yields on properties they invest in in certain areas.

  • Services

Under services, HomePortal GH provides a link to carefully screened industry related service providers, typical examples being architect’s, surveyors, lawyers and relocation companies.  This service provides browsers access to trustworthy service providers with integrity.

  • Mortgage Calculators

For all investors looking at access to mortgages to purchase a property, this feature allows one to calculate their repayments figures over the term of the mortgage.

  • Templates

This feature attempts to provide template to help industry players like agents and landlords.

HomePortal GH offers all advertisers to the site, a six-month free period after which there will be subscription charges.
